What a great story. I was pulled in instantly and I always had to find time to read - I wanted to find out what happened, how the story would play out, who was responsible.

I felt sad for Rachel. Sad for her marriage that fell apart, sad for her life and the way it had turned out. Sad for how pathetic she looked to the police and everyone else. Wow, there are so many twists and turns in this story, it's hard to keep up and catch your breath! The beginning is a bit slow, but stick with it because the story really starts to unfold about a quarter of the way through. Gone Girl lovers will salivate over this intense drama filled with excitement that will keep them guessing! It was recommended that I listen to it, and I'm really glad I did. Clear your calendar for this amazingly addictive title. I read for two days, and could not put it down. Get ready for the train ride of your life. Seriously, this is a must read.

Shelves: sses-book-club

So I definitely thought I was not going to like this book because everyone is comparing it to Gone Girl and several people from my YA book club read it and hated it. But my work book club picked it as one of our summer reads so I decided to just go for it and I actually really liked it.

I found myself getting frustrated with how stupid Rachel could be but I also get really tied into the story. It was very intriguing and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.
