I really liked this book. Many reviewers claim that Oskar is annoying, but I find him endearingly precocious.
Perhaps this next comment is a spoiler:
One aspect that intrigues me about the book is the "Jewishness" or "Holocaust-ness" of the content. I expected the book to feature Holocaust survivors, but I'm not sure that Grandma and her husband are Jewish. This book is quite possibly the most heartbreaking work of art I have ever encountered. I cried my way through the ending, yet at the same time I am so incredibly glad that I took the time to read it. Quite possibly one of my new favorites of all time.

This book took longer then I would have liked to read. It was well worth fitting in whenever I could. I liked how there where pictures and other stuff added in with the text. I hope one day to decipher paged 269-271. I have to admit when Oskar meet William Black I shed a tear at work. It was a story that I will remember and I am looking forward to now seeing the move.

I normally don't give up on books, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll have to try later since everyone else seems to like it. It just seemed unrealistic and irritating.
