I definitely wasn't ready for the long sections of literary criticism tied in with her university classes... Lots of novels discussed, but I did find the correlation to the revolution and oppressive life in Tehran very intriguing.

This memoir is probably the most "beautiful" I've ever read. Nafisi's writing is very lyrical and her descriptive abilities are inspiring.
