Leviathan Wakes is a wonderfully engaging space opera - light on the hard sciences, heavy on characters, growth and conflict. It starts a bit slow, but as it picks up steam, you find an interesting world/universe situation, some very engaging characters, and event after even that keeps you excitable. Not going to write a novel about it, but suffice to say that I found this to be a very entertaining and well written book, and I will be continuing with the series post-haste.

So...3.5⭐️ for me on this one. It took some time to read because some parts did drag. This truly is a Space Opera! James S.A. Corey is the name of two authors (Daniel Abraham & Ty Franck). This series has also been picked up by SyFy for series. Anyway the story of An XO on an ice rig (James Holden) and a depressed down on his luck belter Detective by the name of Miller.
