This is a very popular book for my friends on Goodreads, and I can certainly understand why. However, while I would rate it a 5* in terms of it entertainment value (feels like reading a Blockbuster action movie at times), taking into account all the things I consider necessary to make a good book, Ready Player One was very lackluster.

I listened to the audiobook.
Yes, this is a good. Very good. The 1980s references, game culture and nods towards a misspent youth are worth the price of the book itself. Wil Wheaton's narrations is fantastic and the story builds towards a brilliant ending.

Ok I've been putting off writing my review of this book for a good few days now as I feel like I'm letting people down with what I think of it. The book I'm talking about is Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I chose this book for the PopSugar challenge topic of a book set in the future and my husband knew it was on the list and that I was excited about reading it so he went and ordered me a copy.

Vers le milieu du 21ième siècle, le monde tel qu'on le connait se dégrade à vitesse grand V, il n'y a plus du tout de pétrole, ce qui réduit les possibilités de se déplacer, même si l’électricité à remplacé une partie de ce qui a été perdu, les voyages long courrier par exemple n'existe quasiment plus.
