This is a very popular book for my friends on Goodreads, and I can certainly understand why. However, while I would rate it a 5* in terms of it entertainment value (feels like reading a Blockbuster action movie at times), taking into account all the things I consider necessary to make a good book, Ready Player One was very lackluster.

First, the writing. I simply found it too flavourless, too flat. There is plenty of telling, and many of the 80's references serve no purpose at all, although I und

I listened to the audiobook.

Yes, this is a good. Very good. The 1980s references, game culture and nods towards a misspent youth are worth the price of the book itself. Wil Wheaton's narrations is fantastic and the story builds towards a brilliant ending.

Pour se couper de ce monde déprimant plus de la moitié de la population se perd dans un jeu-monde appelé OASIS. OASIS est gratuit pour tous, il est tellemen

Possibly one of the greatest books I have read in a long time. Once I picked it up there was no putting it down until it was finished. The story and characters gripped me from beginning to end definitely a book I would recommend for all readers!
