Darker version of Three Musketeers with swashbuckling heroes, treachery and corrupt leaders all woven in a brilliant tale. The protagonist is a typical hero who will never forsake his ideals. There's not much in way of character development and the finale feels like deus ex machina and takes away a big deal from the plot.
