Another book that makes your brain twist and turn and just when you think you got it, you find out eh, maybe not so much. I am keeping this review short because I am using one finger instead of the comfort of a keyboard but this is a must read, must co b sider and must talk about with your book club and/or friends. For me, the endin dropped off a little too quick and predictable but I'm not sure what else I would expect. Its a good easy read and a conversation starter fer sher. I love this autho ...more

A white couple, Turk & Brittany, come into the hospital to deliver a baby. Ruth a nurse of 20 yrs. is in the room and told not to touch their baby, because the couple is racist. While working one evening at the hospital there is an emergency the other nurses on duty have to attend to. Ruth is left alone to watch over the baby while they are gone. The baby goes into distress. Shelves: my-5-stars, audio

Author researched and worked on this book for years and it shows. A tough topic to write about - this book opened my eyes to things I take for granted. Can see this being a great pick for my bookclub. The author wanted her readers to become more racially aware. Mission accomplished. Book is told from different perspectives. Loved the audio narration.
