The Brave New World mirrors our society much more than the world of 1984 or We. It is a world where almost everyone is "happy" and content because everything is provided to satisfy all needs. Recently I have been on a dystopian kick ending here.
I really enjoyed this novel. It was much easier to see why the people allowed themselves to be controlled as such as compared to 1984. Throughout the beginning I couldn't help but think, "hey this doesn't sound THAT bad". It was until it was pointed out that reading was considered a solitary activity and was therefore banned that I realized what a terrifying future this would be. As bad as 1984? No! As terrifying as The Handmaid's Tale? NEVER ...more

BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!
I love this book, it was one of the few sci-fi books on my "Recommended books" for English class and I fell in love. Of course I really get into Dystopia books, but the poetic way in which Huxley writes helped win we over. ...more
