I love it when I end up enjoying a book far more than I originally thought I would.
What can I possibly say about this book that hasn't already been said before? Fitzgerald is one of those writers who writes with such (to borrow a compliment of Stephen King to Jodi Picoult) unassuming brilliance. I'm astounded at just how much beauty and character and emotion he can put into such a short book. His use of language leaves me in jealous awe. His themes are gorgeously presented.
