2 stars, that's all I can give you.
Look, dystopia genre/utopia in general sucks, we all know this. However, this is one of the worst.
Let's create a dystopia based on what had already happened (Nazi book burning). Holy moley this Bradbury is so insightful, he can predict what happened in the actual past! That's generally the one redeeming aspect of dystopia/utopia books in general, that they have some form of prophecy that eventuates in the world we live in. This doesn't even have that.

This is not a typical book I read. However, two groups on Goodreads selected this book to read, so I decided to give it a try. It is really a novella about a vapid society who no longer reads anything. Instead, everyone is surrounded by televisions, sound, noise, color and sports from morning to night. A world where books are burned... Quite possibly one of the scariest dystopias I could ever imagine. A place where society has become so advanced and so quick thinking, that they don't have time for books. Books are replaced with television and movies, which are generally superficial and not at all thought provoking. Livro que terei que ler em inglês. Não entendi algum de livro o que poderá ser do próprio livro como da tradução. O último terço do livro foi mais interessante.
