I am glad I read this book, but I disliked it. This book is often held out as a haunting warning against what could happen. The story is fairly compelling. However, just because the theory, argument, basis, etc behind how and why this kind of world could develop and exist is scholarly and thought out doesn't mean that it holds any validity.
