I initially did not like this book at all and thought it was boring and irritating. I did enjoy it more about half way through in the way that the story explored the world and what did/did not would/would not happen and why. While I wouldn't say that I loved this book, or even that I liked it, I enjoyed it a lot more than I initially thought that I would and got more out it than I expected. Ciera
1984 is one scary look into a Totalitarian future. There were some great messages that really make you think. What do we really know other than what we have read in books and what others tell us?

I love this book at first, but then it lost me. I think too many people have been "inspired" by this book so Orwell's once original ideas just seemed tired and boring. ...more
