I own the 2006 edition of “1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.” Peter Boxall is the general editor and the preface was written by Peter Ackroyd. This book has compiled 1001 recommended books, primarily novels which were selected by over 100 contributors (literary critics, professors of literature, etc.). I am not one to write reviews but i figured this would be a great time to start, with the classic To Kill a Mockingbird. i was first intrigued by the fact that it takes place in a old little town in the deep south! I never knew what make classic book classic. That is, until I read this book. Simply because even though Harper Lee made this book with setting in the 1930s, TKaM's value/morale still apply to today's live that I definitely can learn from.
This book, amazing. It certainly did lived up to its review!
