I am new to this type of genre of books and at first I was extremely intimidated by it, I am not sure why I was. But one Sunday afternoon I was having one of those days where you wear baggy t-shirts, a pair of leggings, fuzzy socks and all you do is lay around watching TV. Who knew that after a lot of attempts to read this book that I would finally finish it and for it to become one of my favorite reads!
It took a while for me to get hooked but after I had the characters organized in my head, I could not put it down. The pages kept on flying until I could get to the next Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy encounter. These protagonists were my favorites next to Mr. Bennett, to whom with his sarcastic humor I can't help but love besides his indolent nature. Nevertheless, I enj ...more

I love it when a book makes me smile. And this book makes me smile.

I finally read this! This book has been on my mental to read list since I was a teenager. I have heard so much about it and the main characters, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. The romance, Mr. Darcy, and blah, blah, blah. Now, don't get me wrong because I really enjoyed the book. I just think that a lot of people probably talk about it when they have not really read it.
