I started this book a bit hesitantly, as I remember reading other stories of Jack London when I was younger, but no recollection if I liked or disliked them, meaning they did not have any great impact on me. But, in the end, I am glad I read it.
It is truly a beautifully written story, presenting the journey of a domesticated dog as he returns to his roots in the wild. The story itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but the style of the storytelling makes it worthwhile.

Maybe it's because I'm not a dog, but I just don't find it interesting being in the mind of Buck. I was very excited to read this because so many people raved about it, but it just didn't hold my interest even as a child.
