This book made me realize that pirates can be the snarkiest, most conniving, most treacherous, and rum craziest ass hats in the universe and I WILL STILL LIKE THEM . seriously, who doesn't like pirates in their stories?
There is just something about them that make stories more adventurous and interesting. Their pirate language (that I only half understand BTW), their random acts of bravery every once in a while, and their few funny moments that made me laugh, really redeem those buccaneers to me ...more

Shiver Me Timbers! A finer book of pirates and buried treasure could not be found. And naught could read the tale more lively than Mr. David Case. (Although this edition says it's read by Fredrickson, I believe it is an error.)
