I loved this book! I quickly fell in love with the characters when I started this one; Perry and Aria were developed so well! I really appreciated that the perspective switched back and forth between the two so the reader can really understand their actions and thoughts. This was a story that would have suffered if only told through Aria's eyes.

The world was fantastic and inventive. It was great that Veronica Rossi incorporated some science into this dystopia, without it being overwhelming. The

I know this book is often categorized as dystopian...I am not sure that really fits. It is definitely post-apocalypse, but missing most of the dystopian elements. This book feels more futuristic with a fantasy twist. Special powers and high tech gadgets abound in this story. I liked the characters and I really appreciate the fact that the author introduced us to Roar and set readers up for a book involving Roar and Liv as the main characters. Enjoyed the book, but didn't completely blow me away. ...more

This was such a fantastic find! It was the perect book is every way. I like sci-fi, but sometimes I find that some sci-fi is a little too "out there" for my taste. This book was not. It was perfect with everything that I love. I just kept saying to myself, "I'm loving this book!" It's beautifully written, with unforgettable characters that pulled me under from the beginning. LOVED it! ...more

OK, I officially love Perry. While I still maintain that this was a more mature ya novel, it was a tiny bit refreshing to have characters get to that level since there's usually so much tension! I'm a little nervous for what will unfold in the second book and I am frustrated already that #3 won't be released for a year. ...more

Oh swoon.

Re-read Jan. 2013. I just freaking love this book and the love story. It's not forced, it's not that "forces they don't understand pulling them together" crap YA novels often fall into.
