This re-read was just as wonderful this time around.
It has been years since I have read "The Hobbit", probably close to twenty in fact. I remembered almost none of this story and getting to read it again for the 75th anniversary of the book was a pleasure.
The story was as wonderful as ever, but I had to sort of chuckle to myself at how much of a children's book this really is. Overall, just a wonderful book. ...more
