What Members Thought
Some of the characters are better written then others, but over all the ones we are suppose to care about are well written. The ending was a bit predictable but I did enjoy the scenes about mentally bounding with animals. I'm curious enough about how a person is Forged to continue with the series and to see what happens next with Fitz

For me, the story was only OK. Not my style. Seemed more like short stories put together without one over-arching story line moving everything forward. The "bad guys" were stupid and not believable. Outcomes predictable. It had potential at the beginning but just seemed to slowly get uninteresting as it went. Climax at the end was contrived. Certainly nothing is driving me to want to continue the trilogy.

I liked this one! Some of the writing seemed a little less than ideal, but I enjoyed the story and the plot, and the magic in the world was very intriguing to me. I'm looking forward to reading book 2!
