What Members Thought
Very average. The world is bleak. The bad guys are one dimensional caricatures, and the plight of the protagonist is tediously overwrought.
Some parts of this book are kind of slow and meandering and Fitz is either silent or speaking in paragraphs, but in the end it all comes together and I liked the world and the characters. Definitely recommended for those who like traditional fantasy novels.
The story had me from page one. I love the world, the magic, and Fitz. There is good and evil, there are happy times and heartbreaking moments, everything a reader wants in a good story.
