Well, this is definitely one of those cliffhanger ending books, as many people warned me. So.... close.... yet so far away.
Anyhow. The book was excellent, I loved the independent narratives and the writing style. This book made me want to learn so much more about the universe it's based in/on. I was interested in the story and what had happened and how it was affecting the present, but I mostly just kept reading because I felt like I should finish the book,

Hyperion is a well written and intriguing novel. I enjoyed the characters and the overall tone of the book. So while I enjoyed the book I can’t decide if I would recommend it to others. It is very obviously the first in an epic and very little is resolved by the end of this book, which is the main reason I am frustrated at it. It does mean that I will be reading at least the next book in the series. It has me hooked…
