Ah. I see from records I bought this in October of 2022. This is when I started reading litRPG hard core. I have basically spent the last three years reading it CONSTANTLY thanks to my brother. Thanks Ryon!
IMO this book is the gateway drug of the genre, and a necessary read by every geek. You will love it, I swear. I blurbed the hardcover versin that just got released by a mainstream publisher, so you know I'm ride or die for Carl and Donut.

I read books 1-6 in a fevered rush, one after the other so I can't quie separate them. But as a whole this series is so much more than I thought it was going to be. I'm still in the middle of book 7, and I'll likely put my thoughts in that review so as to be non-spoilery. So much fun! Superb narration!
This book was fast-paced and engaging with a lot of action, a good amount of humor, just enough mystery/hints at hidden complexities, and too much video game mechanics/interface.
A funny, Dungeons and Dragons style fantasy that will be appreciated by dudes everywhere. It was a hoot and who couldn't love Princess Donut.
