Wow!!

Once or twice in some years, a book comes along which causes a glorious explosion around your jaded taste buds. This is that book.

I really enjoyed this author's first book and was really excited to pick up this book. It look me some time to get into this book with its crazy blend of 1st, 2nd and 3rd person perspectives but I kept reading because the characters were so interesting and I wanted to see if he could pull off these unique storytelling technique--and he totally does.

The story begins with an unnamed narrator (in second person) being told stories of the Old Country by his lola. Later, the story shifts to the Invert

Great worldbuilding and memorable characters in this fantasy novel with an unusual setting. Loved how some of the customs are described. However, Act 3 kind of loses momentum.
