A mashup of mecha, wuxia, and Chinese history. Really enjoyed this and can't wait for the sequel.

Interesting use of a rather unlikable main character, who refuses to fit in with society. Given that society in the form of her grandmother (and parents) bound her feet, I see her point. I like the three some, I like the roughness, and I liked the final twist at the end (and not only because I called most of it).
This is a beautiful snub nosed high caliber revolver of a novel. It's short and punchy, moves swiftly and just absolutely destroys. You should read it.
