What Members Thought

ok, this was cute. I get why people raved. It's low stakes, fluffy slice of life and in a coffee shop- very nice. World building is pure D&D, which makes it all very familiar for those of us who have been playing TRPGs. There is nothing complicated or unexpected, but it's all quite nice. Good book to break up an 'ugh I don't feel like reading' streak.

You've probably already heard of Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree (@travis_baldree ). And if you've heard of it, you've likely read it, and if you read it, you almost certainly enjoyed it.☕ So just a few highlights from our experience. It's a short, fun, cozy fantasy story.🍩 There are so many little "ahhhhhhh" moments in this story. It truly felt like a nice long hug in the form of a book.📕🤗 And it really does manage to tell a heartwarming story without being bland, and it's not so sugary t

It is hard not to re-iterate what others have already said about this book, but when it comes down to it, this is exactly what everyone has been talking about. It is an incredibly cozy and quaint story about a retired adventurer and the people and trials she comes into contact with while trying to start a new life.

Read this book right now. It’s Fantasy and cozy and entertaining. So far, this is my favorite book this year. Looking forward to reading the next one.
What I loved about this book is that it’s a fast easy read. It’s highly entertaining. I fell in love with the main characters right away. I also hated the assholes right away. There were some surprises as well.
Coffee, a cat, friendship. What’s not to love?

Top notch comfort read- an unusually cosy fantasy about a former mercenary orc's retirement plan to set up a coffeeshop. A story of friendship, second chances and finding beauty and fulfilment in a conventionally quotidian life.
