Final tally for the coffee I consumed while reading this book: two cups of latte and one americano. Obviously both are not exactly those, basically just some concoction I made using my brand new clever dripper.

It is hard not to re-iterate what others have already said about this book, but when it comes down to it, this is exactly what everyone has been talking about. It is an incredibly cozy and quaint story about a retired adventurer and the people and trials she comes into contact with while trying to start a new life.

There are cozy mysteries and cozy romances and now, a cozy fantasy! For someone who is a Starbucks fan, well, coffee in general, this was a fun read.
I don’t know. I think the stakes here were enormous. A just-about-perfect little book. Give it a chance and it might steal your heart.
Still great
Top notch comfort read- an unusually cosy fantasy about a former mercenary orc's retirement plan to set up a coffeeshop. A story of friendship, second chances and finding beauty and fulfilment in a conventionally quotidian life.
