Converting a bunch of shorts into a functioning novel is difficult. Bradbury pulled it off.

I actually got a few laughs from some of the stories in the beginning of this collection, the stories are just so absurd. Especially the original contacts humans have with the Martians. The stories are all tied together and focus on colonization and how that can affect both the conquering society and the search for a new home/world.
