What Members Thought
I originally read this back in the 90s, sometime after the second book came out but before the third. I remember enjoying it at the time, but for whatever reason I never got around to reading the rest of the trilogy. As part of my goal to finish more series that I started but never finished, I decided this would be the next trilogy/series I tackled.

Re-read because I never finished the trilogy: I liked this much more on a second read. I had less expectations going in and benefited from it. Knowing that the ending will be abrupt helped too. I found the religion aspect much less bothersome this time around too because, while similar, in this universe the Church is a much bigger player and therefore going against the Church is a much bigger endeavor. On to the next one!
