The hype I've heard from other fans of the book was well borne and I definitely enjoyed reading this deeper telling of a Greek myth. For all the people who thought the Greek heroes and gods were all sort of jerks. Circe has an independent perspective on the tales; having been exiled by the gods to her island, she has few fs to give about most men and happily turns them into pigs. Parts of this were a bit of a slog, but well redeemed by the very touching final three chapters. Overcoming your past regrets.

Looking forward to passing ...more

It was really interesting to get a different perspective on so many different tales that have been known for so long. Extremely well written and crafted and I loved the way it ended.

I received a free e-galley from netgalley.com.

Retelling of the nymph Circe, with her as the dimmest of the gods who slowly learns to take control of herself and her power.
