It has been over 30 years since the first time I read this, and while I remember that I liked it, they were looking for her father, she had a little brother, and there was a winged centaur like creature, I admit I didn't remember much else!

I first read this book in 5th grade, and it was the gateway to a lifelong love of fantastical literature. Rereading it all these years later, the book still holds up.

Pretty entertaining for juvenile fiction but:
1. The end just kinda happened with no real explanations as to:
a. How Mr. Murray can just tesser.
b. Who the witches were.
c. Charles-Wallace's TP, and Calvin O'Keefe's gift for languages
Hopefully, they're explained in subsequent sequels. ...more

I wish I had read this as a kid. It would have been something I would have loved! It loses a bit as a "jaded" adult.
