This was fine. It is very much an early 90s fantasy novel written by a man. That doesn't mean it's bad exactly, just that the women, especially the younger (read, sexy) women, in it are.... not quite believable as characters.

Even more wonderful on a re-read, after soaking in a lot of Witcher related content since my first read in 2015.
In this collection, we see Geralt at various times in his Witcher life, meeting some of the people who will become important to his story later. The stories are framed as remember aces as Geralt lay recuperating from a fight with a Striga.
The stories, i realized this time through, are like 60%-70% dialogue, and that introduced some nifty devices for introducing characters and lore and ...more
