I picked this up because I was considering playing the video game based on it, and (in the case of movies) prefer reading the book first. The book alternated between a few different short stories, so instead of getting each story as a whole, we kept alternating between stories and plots. I found that confusing and disjointed. Absolutely fantastic audiobook! I loved all the short stories especially the ones that were adapted during Season 1 of The Witcher. The narrator was AMAZING! He did all the voices in a really convincing way.
Better than a 2 but not a 3... I think the translation may have been part of the problem, but it's also too obviously a game-based or game-driven book & that's not usually my cup of tea.

It seems to be a book of short stories with some connecting bits inbetween. Definitely readable, but the relentless male gaze kept tossing me out of the story.
