I thought this was a fun read that is a good reflection of why I join groups like the Sword and Laser. I never would have read it otherwise. I found it to be very readable, and I pictured all the little short stories as game episodes and that made it go very quickly. The monsters from eastern European mythology/folklore made it fun, although most of what I Googled took me to the wiki for The Witcher, so they must be pretty scarce elsewhere in literature.

I've been wanting to read this book for a while especially after playing the video games based off the series. Witcher 3 is an amazing game so I couldn't wait to read about the characters in the game more in depth. I did a little research and found out that this is the book recommended to start with to get into the world of The Witcher. It's a book basically full of short stories. It seems to be a book of short stories with some connecting bits inbetween. Definitely readable, but the relentless male gaze kept tossing me out of the story.
