The author has come a long way since I read The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. I may have to go back and read her duology that was published after the Inheritance trilogy.
The Fifth Season may even get my top vote for Best Novel in the Hugos. I've still got two to read though, but this book was very well done. ...more

Suffers a little bit from First Book in the Series Syndrome in that the plot is a bit scant and takes a long time to get started, but the characters are so perfect and the worldbuilding so exquisite that it's still a joy to read.
