Mr Morgan does it again with a Sci-Fi Techno thriller. I enjoyed Thirteen and couldn't wait until his next foray into the genre. He stuck gold with this Altered Carbon. It's more of a pulpy 50's PI read, just set in the far future. His world building is such that I would like to see him visit it again. The characters and story line move nicely and there are several one off characters I would not mind learning more about (those that live, that is).

Reserving my rating for another read of this. Right now it's a 3, but I think reading it in print/ebook instead of listening in audiobook might give me a different result as this story should (overall) be right up my alley. This isn't a criticism of the audiobook either. Sometimes print works better for me to enjoy the story, and sometimes audio is the way to get me hooked.
