’ve been meaning to read a book by Ursula K. Le Guin since I first discovered her when I was about 12. I checked out a book of hers but never got around to reading it, now here I am 15 years later finally getting around to it. Better late than never!

I had heard really wonderful things about Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea series that I think my expectations may have been too high. I enjoyed the book (I listened to the audio book), but I wasn't grabbed by any of the characters. I felt bad for the main character, but i didn't feel his terror, sorrow, or joy. I did like the world and am curious about the magic, which I think could have been explained better. Several of the plot points were a bit predictable (perhaps because this has become a classic
