Even though this book is a bit "zen" for me (I certainly don't "greet" my house and "thank" my things for their service to me), the underlying concept was extremely helpful for me in eliminating clutter. The author's whole theory revolves around the idea that we'll feel most happy and at peace in our homes when we're surrounded by things that we like--that bring us joy.
