I've reread this book many times but I guess its different now since I have young nieces and nephews; but damn chapter 16 punched me in the gut and made me cry. I can only imagine how any parent would feel possibly reading this chapter. I love Tamora Pierce's book so much, I feel so many emotions reading them, and this year I decided to reread them a lot of the books through audiobooks, and I feel like this was a great decision, I felt things differently hearing the story told to me.
