I enjoyed everything about listening to this book. The story of Ms Burton’s life is riveting as just as a story; herperseverance, resilience and stubbornness are something to aspire to.
I feel like I finally could explain the prison-industrial complex rather than having only a vague notion of why and how it destroys communities and individual lives. Similarly the re-entry and foster care industrial complexes versus support for individuals and families.
