What Members Thought
I couldn’t put this book down. It is set in Milan, during the last two years of the war and is based on a true story of a real young man, Pino Lella. This book really touched me. It shows how the invasion by the Nazis affected families and all the heroic things and hard decision Italians had to make to survive. It is heart wrenching but not gory. It is inspiring and made me think of the high price of freedom. Pino Lella is my hero.
