Since Jane Eyre is a classic, a favorite to so many readers (particularly women, not surprising the men don't like a book without strong male characters!), I had to come up with something a little beyond my standard review... (Note: Mild Spoilers toward the end).

Previously in my life I have tried and failed to read and enjoy this book several times. I'm so glad I gave it one more go. I appreciate what a strong female characters Jane is and was (at least, given the time and context). ...more
