enjoyable easy read about disappearance of a young child in 1977 , pow camp in thailand 1943 and the golden jubilee in 2002 and the story goes back and forth which are interlinked in the plotline but in parts felt was abit far fetched that the police didnt investigate jess's disapperance more. can understand if your reading this on a kindle that you would have problems with the changes in the timeline of the plot ...more

The idea behind Jubilee is an interesting one and I certainly wanted to know what happened to the characters. However, I didn't care for the author's decision to split the book into so many different periods of time. I can appreciate that it was a method that enabled all the pieces to eventually fall into place, but I did feel somewhat confused and slightly irritated by it at times. I do wonder if the story could have been told as a straightforward mystery; maybe not completely, but with fewer t ...more

I really enjoyed this, only marked it down a star as found some of it a bit far fetched but otherwise it was fast paced, interesting and well written - it kept me wanting to read on, hence the super quick time in which I finshed it
