What Members Thought
The Secret History was a very good book that I probably would have rated higher had I read it before The Goldfinch. There was a very similar feel to both books which I enjoyed. But, I think The Goldfinch edges out The Secret History because of the characters. I didn’t really like any of these characters, none of them seemed to be good or redeemable people but I liked the story; it was strange but interesting. I’m glad I finally read it.
I've given up at page 199, don't think its flowing well and all too confusing - not quite taken off for me and not sure I wanna read another 400 pages in the hope that it does - Shame.
