Who the hell Holly Golightly is?
As a majority of people I watched the movie first. She's darker in the book, there's no strict love story and final inspiring speach. The Cat has been found only metaphorically (or it seemed to me), but still... Who this woman is? Retrospecting geisha of modern times? Romantic person with broken dreams? Child abuse victim? An overrated ensemble of weak and annoying players. When "Tiffany's" is not bogged down by it's perpetual monologues, however, Capote often shines. What a shame this only occurs once every twelve or so pages.

UGH! even though it's a pop culture reference, i could not, could NOT like this book. Holly is irritating as all get out! I'm off to read something wonderful!
