I can't do it. When I decided to read Les Miserables, also written by Victor Hugo, I made a decision to read the unabridged version, because it was appalling to me that someone would take a piece of work/art and edit it into something that wasn't the original.
Having read Les Miserables, plowing through 200+ page meanderings that had nothing to do with the plot or storyline, I decided to read the abridged version of this.
