This was my second Jane Austen book after Pride & Prejudice. This was easier to get into. Anne Elliot is an engaging, honest, respectable woman in her late twenties. She lives with her father and eldest sister who are completely vain and caught up in nobility and bloodlines. She is surrounded by a selfish, unloving family.
