Wow not what I was expecting but this was quite an interesting book to read. It was informative in a weird way but glad it read.

This book is a compilation of tons of things concerning human cadavers. The history of them from when surgeons were considered a kin to butchers all the way to modern day organ donors. As a person who has huge anxiety about flying, I found the chapter on plane crashes to be horrifying (it will be awhile before I convince myself to get on a plane again).
I would probably give this book a 3.5 if I could do half stars because it felt a little disjointed (did I just make a pun?!) and jumbled. I wish ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. In reading some of the reviews beforehand, I know the author's humor and interjection of personal thoughts was distasteful to some. For me, this is what made the book enjoyable. Without the humor, the subject matter would have been hard to get through emotionally. Speaking as someone who has experienced an anatomy lab and has an appreciation for the contribution these people have made, sometimes you just need a little levity to handle it all.
