This is not a read for the squeamish, but it is quite the interesting one. At once somehow reverent in its content and still containing a flippant writing style, Stiff kept me intrigued and learning while also keeping me laughing...which was a good balance for the moments I was cringing. A really interesting book- It covers the study of human decomposition at the Body Farm in Tennessee, the use of cadavers in science experiments and education, ancient medicinal uses of cadavers (ugh!), and even cremation, burial, etc. If you find the aforementioned topics offensive or distasteful, you will probably not like this book. However, if you are a science-minded or medical person, you'd probably enjoy it. I like Mary Roach's style of writing; it is informative, yet witty and informal.
