Such a lovely story that transports you to Italy and summer and holidays without a trace of kitsch. I enjoyed every part of it, making me feel warm and giving much insight into the female psyche with a lot of food for thought. Delicious!

I loved, loved, loved this book. It was recommended to me by someone when I mentioned I was reading A Room With a View by E. M. Forster and I couldn't be happier that I found the audiobook on Libby read by Wanda McCaddon and listened to it. Just a beautiful, upbeat story about four British women, largely unknown to each other, who rent a villa in Italy for the month of April at the turn of the 20th century. After a rocky start it becomes a positive life changing month for all of them. Loved it.
