Good story
This was an emotional story with a some happy moments. There were enjoyable and steamy moments between the characters but also a learning experience as well. Mikayla learned to open her heart so someone can love her. Jake was the knight and shining armor who came to the rescue but also learned patience and how to be the perfect gentleman. Both characters learned more from each other than they expected.

I read a book or two in the other series by Jay Mclean before reading this one, and those were really good, so I was expecting more from this than I got. I expect an NA heroine to be a little ridiculous but Mikayla was over the top ridiculous and her decisions made no sense. Especially when they went on for as long as they did, I was just over it. I did like Jake though and all of the side characters. Judging by the reviews for the next book, this series gets better, so off I go to read Logan's
